Chalk Art & Lettering 101

Loved this book! Very easy to follow instructions that create a great basis for creating amazing chalk art pieces. I used some of the tips to create a great Christmas chalk mural! Great for beginners and for those looking for some inspiration for new projects.

I had this book on my wish list, and received it as a gift. I love it so much! I'm not a very artistic person by nature, but I started hand lettering a couple years ago and really enjoy it. I've tried brush pens, watercolor etc. and when I saw this book, I was intrigued!The steps are simple to follow, and I already had the tools I needed at home! I'm impressed with my ability to create chalkboard pieces 😅. I like to make little ones for my home throughout the season. I've also made some pieces for family parties and church events. I really feel like this book makes it possible for anyone to create amazing chalkboard art!

This book is gorgeous start to finish! I’m just amazed at the beautiful detail on each page (there are 143 pages!) The quality of this book is top notch.I am not an artist in any shape or form, but I feel like Shannon and Amanda have really catered to any type of audience with their step by step process for so many different areas. I shared an image of the calligraphy section which I think I might actually be able to do with their awesome guide for each upper and lowercase letter! I am a visual learner and their visuals throughout look extremely helpful for someone like me : )The artists cover so many areas including but not limited to depth and dimension, lighting/shadows, borders and frames , illustrations, projects etc! There is plenty to play around with in terms of ideas!This book would make a lovely gift for yourself or a loved one!

This book is absolutely gorgeous. I have been a fan of Amanda Arneill for quite some time now and when I saw that she was making a book about chalkboard lettering, I bought it right away. And it did not disappoint. The details and explanations are just amazing and I cannot wait to use this to help with my lettering!

This book is worth the price. Very detailed illustrations of images . Very informative . Anyone doing chalk will learn a lot from this book

This is so excellent. It guides you every step of the way to create fabulous chalk art.

I recommend this book for your handlettering collection. You will add to your chalk lettering styles and tricks. This book gets right to the point of its tutorials.

My penmanship is horrible and this boom showed me how to make beautiful letters and great designs.

I have three books on chalk lettering this one is far the best because you get awesome tips complete illustrations, thorough explanations. You're love it. You spend hours enjoying learn each new assignment with ease.

Beautiful artwork, with excellent information on tools and supplies needed to start, and helpful instructions. Gifted this, along with a stand-up/hang-up chalk board (and colored chalk!) to inspire a trio of young sisters.

An amazing book on the subject! And to top it off, it is spiral bound so it lays flat.To me, it is more than just an "introduction" as it seems very thorough.

I purchased this a a gift for a friend and she is very happy with what it has taught her so far.

As a previous teacher who taught handwriting, this book is up my alley. I became interested in chalk writing recently.

Before I bought this book, I borrowed 4 or 5 chalk lettering books from the library, including this one. After looking through them all, this was the only one I bought so I could keep using it. It gives great instructions, is clearly laid out, has some fun project ideas, and my favorite thing is that it includes ALL the letters in each font it teaches. Many of the other books only gave a few sample letters of each font, which isn't helpful at all unless you're already experienced with drawing those kinds of letters.

What a great book with so many wonderful illustrations!! Highly recommend. I am a calligrapher and I do chalkboards often, and this had some fun new ideas.

El libro es físicamente hermoso,muy fácil de comprender pero al mismo tiempo detallado, de manera que rápidamente aprendes las técnicas suficientes para realizar un buen trabajo, me encantó y definitivamente lo recomiendo!!!

Es un libro muuuy muuuy muuy bonito. Su calidad en cuanto a anillado, pastas, hojas interiores... es inmejorable. Me gusta que no solo se centra en el lettering, sino que enseña a dibujar otras muchas cosas como hojas, flores, flechas...

Amei o livro

Me encantó. Está muy completo y muy bien explicado. La pasta es dura y las hojas son de muy buena calidad, ya que son mate y te evitan brillos molestos al leer y ver las ilustraciones. Uno de los mejores libros de lettering e INCLUSO de dibujo básico . Llegó rápido y en buenas condiciones. Cien por ciento satisfecha con mi compra.
