I don’t know why this book hasn’t gone viral yet. It is truly phenomenal! It is now one of my favorite drawing and inspiration books. It covers so many topics like blending with alcohol markers, sketching characters, coming up with your own style, and navigating the art world with your own perspective on social media. Truly astonishing with beautiful artwork. There are even watercolor textured pages in the back to practice. This is the exact book I was looking for in the style I wanted. Thank you Lidia Cambón for creating this. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves! Also included the table of contents so you know what this book is about.

This book is so amazing. It’s great for inspiration and learning. As someone who’s always had issues using alcohol markers and finding my own style, this book really helps me as it goes in depth on every step I need to know to grow as an artist and make amazing illustrations.

This guide has been the ideal inspiration for me to take time and put pencil and marker to paper! The order and layout of this book taught me the basics I wanted to learn. It's fun to make progress.

This book is full of illustrations that look amazing! The book start from the basics and go to more advanced topics, very easy for anyone to enjoy, starting from any level.To be honest the book is worth even just for illustrations from Lidia, so unique!

I have been a huge fan of Lidia for a long while and when she announced a book coming out, I immediately preordered. This book in no way disappointed. The step by step pieces are easy to understand and the book offers you room to put the steps into practice. The blurbs of information are clear and easy to understand and the pieces of art throughout the book are absolutely stunning. I appreciate the little pieces of detail such as the cover having a shimmering font and the character on the front having little accents of shimmer; as well as the last few pages being on a thicker canvas paper. It’s a wonderful that I’m so happy to have apart of my collection.

I primarily do digital art. However, I've recently decided to venture out a bit and give alcohol markers another try-- alcohol markers were probably one of the most challenging traditional mediums I've used in quite some time. I had gotten very discouraged with it and stopped using alcohol markers for years just due to frustration.Then I came across this book.When I tell you this book not only thoroughly and efficiently guided me on how to properly use alcohol markers....Just. Wow. I'd like to reiterate that I mostly do digital art-- Linda Cambon's approach to alcohol markers feels very familiar and easy to digest if you have absolutely no clue what you're doing with the medium, and ESPECIALLY if you mostly do digital art like me. The explanations are excellent, the examples are amazing, and the author also goes over some very basic portrait elements such as how to draw the head, eyes, noses, mouths and more. While it is advertised as being for beginners, tThis book won't necessarily teach you "How to Draw" but more or less "How to Use Alcohol Marker in Your Illustrations"; if you're looking for a book on simply how to draw, this one may not be for you. That being said, if you're a beginner, this book will absolutely give you a jumpstart in stylizing and understanding the nuances in art and how to make things actually look appealing and believable. I *wish* I had this book when I was first starting out learning to draw.

1.5⭐️There is very little actual examples and most of her sketches are done digitally which is weird because it’s about learning to hand draw with alcohol markers. It would have been good for there to be more exercise or examples. A YouTube tutorial would give you more info

Character Drawing with Alcohol Markers is a gorgeous, high-quality publication with excellent writing and illustrations, as well as useful tutorials. This multichapter guide is a welcome resource with step-by-step information that's easy to follow, and it's also a very beautiful book!

Lovely book, great for inspiration and beginners. I love that it has practice pages you can draw on and color. The information pretty basic, so mostly helpful only to beginners.
