I've already read the book cover to cover! It's a great reminder to slow down and make time to be. My biggest design takeaway is that it's not the trendy new paint color or fancy new couch that matter the most. Alexandra embraces all design styles and teaches that it's the little things that can bring the most joy to you and your home.

Alexandra’s book is beautiful. The images are stunning and the content is thoughtful. As someone who loves and adores cozy spaces, I really enjoy flipping through this book for inspiration but also to admire the different takes on what Hygge means. It’s a wonderful coffee table book but also an anytime book.

This book is a godsend! I ironically ordered when we were being told to self quarantine and the authors essence was inspirational and soothing. Based on her recommendations I was able to make our home more cozy and "hygee." I would read whenever I needed a dose of calm that was akin to a vacation. Definitely recommend!

I enjoyed the laid back feel with a focus on making the home suitable to what is most important--relationships. All of her pictures are from one or two houses--clearly hers and maybe one other. There is a lot of repetition, but overall, I enjoyed the book and read it all the way through in one evening.

I received this as a Christmas gift... What a lovely book inspiring all of us to take time to really live where are hearts dwell...with family, friends and comforts of a simple home life. Beautiful photography. The Hygge Life store in Eagle-Vail, Colorado is worth a visit to see in person, Alex, the author and her husband of whom emulate such a way of life. What a lovely book! From the gorgeous photographs and the thoughtful and inspiring words, this is more than a beautiful coffee table book. After reading, I took a look at my space, how I used it and what I could do better to create a more thoughtful environment. Looking forward to purchasing additional copies of this book to give as holiday gifts.

I’m a sucker for interior design - especially the Scandinavian variety. This book is full of blended spaces with plenty of Nordic influence while also promoting a self-catered approach that goes beyond today’s popularized minimalism. The photos and storytelling are warm, inviting, and so inspiring. Love the simple mission of this book (dwell/gather/be) and can’t wait to implement the elements in my own home.

Alex wrote a lovely book that brings a human element to design. She focuses on how to thoughtfully create spaces and design your home to be functional but beautiful. The photography is amazing and adds so much personality! Such a great read and beautiful book- so worth the purchase!

I purchased two copies of this book and am going to buy more for friends as Christmas presents. This is more than just a book. You can curl up with a cup of tea and a blanket and get inspired (I redecorated my apartment after reading!). It's quality time with yourself, which is one of the concepts of Hygge. The book perfectly exudes the essence of the Hygge movement and I really enjoyed her voice and personal experiences. The images are stunning and it's just very well done.

The writing is lovely and the photographs are inspiring. We bought several as gifts but had to have one for ourselves, too!
