I've Loved You from the Start

This is such a beautiful and emotional book, especially for a family whose journey to their child wasn’t simple or straightforward. The message behind I’ve Loved You From the Start really captures that feeling of loving and hoping for a child long before you ever get to hold them in your arms.What I appreciate most is that it feels tender and meaningful without being too complicated for a children’s book. It’s something you can read to your child when they’re little, but the meaning behind the words carries so much more weight as a parent. It is one of those books where the parent may be getting just as much, if not more, from the story as the child.The illustrations and overall presentation have a soft, gentle feel that fits the message perfectly. It would be especially meaningful for families who experienced a long road to parenthood, infertility, IVF, adoption, or simply a period of waiting and hoping before their child arrived.This is more than just another book for our shelf. It feels like a way to tell a child, from an early age, just how wanted and loved they were before they were even here. Definitely one I will hold onto for years.

Such a sweet and heartwarming book, especially if you’re an expecting mother! It really captures the idea that love doesn’t always need to be seen to be felt. This one tugged right at my heart.

This is a lovely book with delicate illustrations, it couldn't be more adorable with soft prose and gentle rhyming. I am a little disappointed though that the book does not specify on the copyright pages what edition it is that I purchased. This is a special book that is collector-worthy so I'm sad there isn't any description of "first edition" "readers edition" "creators edition" or anything. It has nothing in the copyrights about what version I purchased. I assumed because I was quick to buy when it dropped that it would be a 1st (which it still might be) but without it actually stating the edition in writing the book is not worth much as a collector's item.

I received this book today and am already writing a review - it’s THAT good! Of course Tabitha’s illustrations are amazing and delightful but the message in this story is beautifully articulated. No matter the stage of your life in this moment, this book is bound to touch your heart. I loved it so much I just ordered another one to give my niece and plan on gifting it (along with many of her books) at all future baby showers. Thank you, Tabitha for sharing your story with us all.

Y'all, we have a ton of Tabitha's books. But This one is soooo much different... in the best way. This is my new go-to now for all baby showers and any mama (or dad) that needs a pick-me-up. You might cry your way through it several times, but it's so worth it. Some of the most beautiful illustrations that I have ever seen!

Thoughtful and gorgeous design. We love everything Tabitha Paige and this was no exception. It even made my husband teary eyed when reading it to our lil babe. Her whole heart went into this and you can tell. It is more beautifully delicate than her other books (not a board book) so it’s definitely one we read and turn the pages vs letting our child hold it right now.

Big fan of this author for my little one. Beautiful illustrations as always, and such an adorable, timeless story about love. Would make a great gift for expecting parents too.

I’ve Loved You From The Start is one of my favorite, endearing books by Tabitha Paige! She is such a great author and illustrator. This book makes me cry every time I read it because it is about her love for her precious son Ducky!

This book has such beautiful water color illustrations!! The simple storyline holds a deep meaning and is great for young readers and would be a beautiful family heirloom or baby shower gift! There is a front page to write "to"/"from" and the cover is timeless. This author has a background in speech therapy and is VERY intentional with all of her books!

We just bought this book and have been reading it to our (not yet born!) son. It has the most beautiful message and would be so very thoughtful as a baby shower gift! Can’t wait to keep reading it to him when he joins us in December

This book should be apart of every child’s library. While visually beautifully, the contents of the book are something every mother’s heart can relate to. This book is perfect for baby shower gifts, toddlers, and even older kids. My nine year old also loved it. Every child delights in hearing how they are loved.

The Wife: This is such a beautiful story, the illustrations are gorgeous and production of the book just makes the book breathtaking. I am not being paid to write this review, I am writing it because this book has moved me in both its production, the artwork, and then the story; there is so much heart and love poured into this story. I love the story and it is so personal for me specifically because ducky is the nickname I have given to my first born and a lot of this mother’s words are the same words I said to him while he was in utero. I feel like Tabitha took my heart and the love I have for my son and put it in words and picture. Just beautiful and amazing, thank you for writing this. I read this to my 3 year old son and he loved it too, he loved rubbing his fingers over each page and his eyes were tracking at picture, he got excited when the duckling emerged from the egg; we both just fell in love with this book. An easy new favorite

This book has the most timeless art and made me cry the first time I read through it. This is the perfect book for your nursery or as a gift for an expecting momma.I’ll be keeping my copy but buying one for any expecting friend.

I have been collecting Tabitha’s children’s books since before my son was born.He is now 1.5yrs & I read them to him every night. He is always captivated by the stories & illustrations.This one arrived today after I’d pre-ordered it & I just have to say, it is now my favourite storybook of all time.I read it out loud & had to keep pausing on the pages because I was choking up so much!‘I’ve Loved You From The Start’ is so heartfelt & beautifully written - putting words to the unconditional love us mothers feel so deeply for our babies.Thank you Tabitha, I will be holding on to this one forever.
