My Gardening Journal

I LOVE this!! I’ve gardened a lot of my adult life. But just little gardens. This year I decided to plant a pretty big garden because I wanted to build a garden stand, and we did!! So I bought this journal and it’s so helpful, and so pretty!! I love all the tips and tricks plus all the guides to plan your next years garden, chores you need to do each season and even a daily or weekly tracker. And it’s beautiful!! Here is a pic of my garden stand, it’s a work in progress

I could have done without part one, but part two and three are exactly what I was looking for in a garden journal. I’m very happy.

This is my new favorite thing. The feel of it is soft with a light texture. For the new beginner gardener like me, I’m so happy it includes an in depth starting point. All the different resources out there are right here in one place for me. I have all kinds of seeds but no plan. This is giving me a starting point for organizing my seeds, garden, and thoughts without being intimidating. I also love that it’s undated but includes 52 weeks of pages. So I don’t feel the pressure if I miss a week or can’t keep up. I also see me using this in future years, not just as a beginner. I can create compendiums as I gain more experience. It even smells wonderful.

I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this beautiful garden journal and was not disappointed when it arrived! It is fun to dream and plan about the garden each season…if you are new to gardening the beginning section of this journal is FULL of helpful info to get you started. I have been learning (always learning with a garden!) for the past several years and I am excited to use all the tools, trackers, journals to keep tabs on what I’m taking from last year and applying this year and the next year and the next year! This year is my first year playing with seed starting in my new greenhouse so I am particularly excited to useWeekly tracker to keep notes on various seeds. I’m a novice when it comes to gardening. Not knowing how or where to start has been so overwhelming. Now that I have a step by step guide to help me navigate this process, I feel so much more confident! And having this journal to use for future reference will be such a gift! I’m so excited to fill these beautiful pages with my gardening journey!

I have tried many journals, notebooks, blank pieces of paper but this is the only one that is keeping me organized and focused. Even if I don’t get my weekly tasks done it is just easy to move them to the next week until they are done. I love how it keeps me focused on a few set of tasks so not to be overwhelmed. Great space for notes, drawing or keeping info when contacting contractors for our new patio.Don’t hesitate to get. I will definitely be purchasing one for next year as well.

Best purchase I have made for myself! Much like everything Sarah Simon does, this book makes Gardening feel accessible and combines creativity and planning with a tangible result. I cannot wait to plot out my garden. I am completely new to gardening and feel like this book makes it seem possible for me to succeed. I LOVE the resources for seeds in the back. And the addition of questions that make you dive into your motivations are so mindful and purposeful. This book will make a wonderful gift for seasoned gardeners and non gardeners, or even just dreamers who like to plan beautiful things.

I am a paper and pen person when it comes to planning and documenting my garden and this garden journal fits the bill for what I want in a garden journal.- plenty of space and pages to plan out the garden- section to go into depth on individual plants- weekly sections to document what is going on that week so that when I look back the following year I have a good timeline for when things happen in the garden.-added bonus of helpful gardening information section in the beginning.Added bonus...It's beautiful. seriously, the artwork in it makes me want to open it up and use it which we all know the hardest thing about a garden journal is remembering to write in it!

My favorite part of this journal is the illustrations; they are beautiful. I also love the grid pages for planning out my garden. It's full of gardening advice and wisdom and laid out in a practical and useful way.

Nice book. Lots of info and areas to store info.

I couldn't remember when i had last fertilized, or when I had pruned, or planted things. I needed something to keep track of all these aspects of gardening. This journal helps me with that and more. So far I'm only using the journal part of it but there's a lot of other information you can read, also several pages where you can record details of plants you have planted. I suppose you could use a weekly planner or keep track on your phone but this is a nicer way to do that.

I love this gardening journal. The cover is very nice and there are plenty of pages to keep track of all my plants, shrubs and trees. There is also information on gardening. I made the right choice buying this journal!

Love this garden log/planner! It has places to note what varieties were planted and how they did. Has a weekly journal with places for to do lists and basic journaling space for the coming week. I have already purchased another for next year’s gardening so I can start planning for next year’s garden.

This is such a beautiful way to enjoy my garden. There is useful information provided and there is room to sketch and track garden growth and planning. It is good for a beginner or a seasoned gardener.

Absolutely love how beautiful the pictures are inside! I like how you get to draw your garden plan in this journal as well as list everything you grow!
