Watercolor with Me: Flower Fairies

I bought this lovely paint‑with‑water book for my seven‑year‑old granddaughter’s birthday. She stopped by before going out to dinner with her mom and dad, and I was able to give it to her along with her other presents. I was a little worried it might be too old for her, since the pictures are detailed flowers, and the included water pen twists open so you can fill it yourself. I should have known better. She is grateful for everything she receives, and this ended up being the biggest hit of the day. She is very girly and loves butterflies and rainbows, so this was right up her alley. She really liked that it was neat, and the water did not run everywhere. The little “shimmy” style eraser that comes with it helps keep any extra water under control. As you can see from my photo, she was very proud of her work and even let me take a few pictures. She is usually shy about being photographed, so that alone showed me how much she enjoyed the activity and the book itself. By the time she reached the end, she went back to look at her earlier “artwork,” but it had already dried and disappeared. I thought that might upset her, but she loved the idea that she could paint the pages again. These books make a calm, easy, and very neat craft, and the price is excellent for the quality. If there are other books in this series, I will definitely look into getting more, so she can choose what she is in the mood to paint. I am extremely happy with this purchase, and honestly, I think an older adult would enjoy it too.

My two year old received this as a gift and immediately started painting! She loves the colors and to find the hidden pictures. But the best part is that my 9 year old son loves to use it when he gets the chance too! It's beautiful, easy to use and such a fun way to include art into my toddler's life!

This Flower Fairies Water Reveal is honestly so cute. The pages are bright, and I love that they have a "seek and find" on each page. My daughter loves finding the fairies and lady bugs.She was completely obsessed with tracking down all items on the pages.The illustrations are adorable and super detailed. Youcan tell it was thoughtfully designed.I also like the water pen. My daughter thinks she’s painting with a real paint brush. It doesn’t leak like others, and it stores nicely. This is being added into my on-the-go bin of options. 10/10

What a great idea. All that is needed is water. Since the color vanishes once the water is dried, this can be reused over and over again. Excellent kid self entertainment.

My 2 year old is obsessed with this water painting book! We put this in her diaper bag and it keeps her entertained for a while while we’re at restaurants. She loves watching the colors appear and finding all the hidden items like lady bugs, fairy’s and birds. This book is beautifully created for children in mind and seems very durable.

I purchased this book for my 3 year old granddaughter and it has kept her engrossed for hours. The Flower Fairy pages are beautiful and very colorful. Each page has different items to be discovered by the artist. The pages are thick so the water doesn't bleed through or warp pages. 15 minutes or so after the art is finished it magically disappears.

This was such a fun activity book for kids and adults!

Flower Fairies is absolutely magical - the drawings are so sweet & detailed, and we all get lost in the beautiful images. It's SO great to have a more detailed, beautiful mess-free painting option for road trips or just some unwinding time at home. I also love the addition of the seek & find elements...there are so many layered ways of playing with this book!

Absolutely the SWEETEST magical water reveal coloring book ever! And the best quality I've ever seen - the variation and depth of colors is insane. My daughter is 6 and spent an hour enjoying this book right after opening it, and has returned to it many times over. Do not hesitate to gift it to the little fairies in your life!

The most magical and perfect watercolor “water reveal” book for artists of all ages! I gifted this to my little niece who is 15 months old, and it’s a perfect mess-free and fun way for her to “paint” and explore the magic of watercolor flowers, fairies, and colors! Sarah Simon (the author) is such a sweet person and talented artist, and the magic of her Mint Gardener brand is evident from this sweet and lovely activity book!

This book is a treasure every little girl artist should have in her collection! My fairy loving daughter had so much fun adding color to the beautiful illustrations. We have one copy in our creating space at home and another in the car for long trips during which a fun activity is needed. Highly recommend!

I love this beautifully illustrated book! It makes the perfect gift for the young budding artists in my life as they can spend hours "painting" the pages over and over again with just water. The addition of the fun hide-and-seek and counting games is such a great bonus. Highly recommend!

I don’t know why the recommended age is 3-7, this is a great gift for older children and even adults (thinking of getting one for my grams to help with hand eye coordination)I love that it only uses water so my kids can do this in the car or at a restaurant or even their older siblings band concert. The pictures and colors are more detailed and complex than the usual reusable water books for kids. Great gift!*Full transparency, I own several watercolor workbooks by the Mint Gardner and they are all amazing, so no surprise this is a good one too! I love how accessible she makes art for everyone!

My (7yo) daughter received this as a gift and LOVED it. While she had used similar products from Melissa and Doug in the past, this book was so superior and more "sophisticated" with its water-colory images and surprise fairies, and the amazing water coloring paint brush. It's high quality beautiful. I think the imagery will charm a larger age range than the "preschooly" images on other water painting books. We like it so much, we just bought another one for the neighbor girl.
